So, for years, I sang this following lyric. I *thought* that it was the main chorus of the Kid Rock song "Bawitdaba".
Bawitdaba da bang a dang diggy diggy
Back with the trackmasters, da bang jiggy jiggy
Now, admittedly, that makes no sense. But my memory of the song was that most of it didn't make sense, so that little bit of nonsense-making seemed in keeping with the theme.
Then one day, I was listening to some Will Smith and I came to this part:
Dang diggy dang da dang da dang diggy diggy
Back with the trackmasters, da bang jiggy jiggy
And I was all, hey...wait a minute. Isn't that...?
But, turns out, it's not. I present the actual lyric to "Bawitdaba":
Bawitdaba da bang a dang diggy diggy
Diggy said the boogy said up jump the boogy
I like my version better, though, so I keep singing it my way. I'm sure that Kid and the Fresh Prince can come to some sort of arrangement.
