[knitting] It's a movement

Okay, so I was on a hunt this weekend for cool knitting needles, and everywhere I looked, everyone was knitting a Ball Band Washcloth, so named because the pattern for it is on the ballband of the Peaches and Creme cotton yarn which one requires to knit it.

Never having been one to back away from a movement, I, too, knitted the damn thing, and I must say that it was, actually, fun, in a weird K5 YF Slip 1 YB kind of way.

The pattern is also available in the apparently yummy (although I don't know as I haven't picked up a copy yet) Mason-Dixon knitting book. And, as it is apparently a traditional pattern, around forever, there is a copy free on the Internet here.

And, in case you just can't live another second without seeing what one of these bad boys looks like, here's mine, at this moment in a fedex envelope, wending its way to my mom, who has promised to use it to actually clean things:
