I don't know, really, why I continue to torture myself. It's obvious that I can't keep up with a journal for more than a few weeks. In my defense, I found writing through diary-x, my last hosting site, somewhat intimidating. I do find this format less so--I mean, it has happy little icons to represent my mood. :)

Closer to the truth is that I am unemployed, part of the WorldCom fall-out. Indirectly part of, yes, but part of none the less. And there are only so many hours in a day that one can look for a job before one's eyes begin to bleed. So I need a distraction. Preferably a distraction with cool icons to represent my mood.

As an interesting note, all entries prior to this one were written using diary-x and migrated here after--long after--the fact. Makes things a little confusing, but I like having things in one place. Sue me.
